Following the successful seven river engineering conferences held in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2003 and 2007, the local organizing committee of the 8th Int. River Engineering Conference (8IREC) has the pleasure and honor to invite all interested persons to participate in the conference to be held on Janaury 26-28 2010 in Shahid Chamran University, Ahwaz, Iran. The principle purpose of 8IREC is to enhance and to promote this cooperation and to continue the highly useful exchange of new ideas among the conference participants representing theory and practice of technical, economic, social and environmental aspects of river engineering.
